First, screw the thin track onto your soffit. Use appropriate screws for the material that your soffit is made out of.
In this case, we are also using a piece of wood as a spacer - to keep the track about 1.5" from the siding. You can space the track as close or as far as you like.
Each 1m piece has 3 screw holes - pre-drilled to make installation easier.
If you have a wood soffit, a typical outdoor screw 1" in length is best.
For metal soffits, a #6 metal screw works well. 9/16 in length is generally sufficient.
If you have a fiber cement soffit (Hardie), be sure to use fiber cement screws and pre-drill.
Now we are going to insert the lights into the track that holds the lights.
Once the lights are installed, you can clip this piece of track into the thin track already installed on your soffit.
Make sure each piece is completely clicked into place and secure.
Some installations will involve cutting the track. You may also need to make angled cuts.
To do this, you can use a metal saw and a miter box to set the angle properly.
We recommend using appropriate safety gear whenever cutting our track. Metal edges can be very sharp.
Both styles of white track are sold out. We are allowing pre-orders.
Black track is in stock and available in both styles.
